  How to install my GSM-Ready 56K? GSM-Ready33.6? GSM-Only?

The script file and installation procedure are identical for the
GSM-Ready 56K, GSM-Ready 33.6 and the GSM-Only/Cellular-Only
Remark: The GSM-Ready 56K/ISDN 3-in-1 card is not supported under Mac OS.

The Option ARA script can only be used with the GSM-Ready 56K if the card is v.90.
All GSM-Ready 56K cards purchased after August 1998 have the v.90 by default.

The ARA script for the GSM-Ready cards can be downloaded for:

Be sure to copy the ARA script on your MAC before extracting it!

  1. Startup your Mac.
  2. Copy the ARA script on your Mac and extract it.
    After extraction you will have one file: OPTION GSM-Ready 56K_en
  3. Drag the file OPTION GSM-Ready 56K_en onto the folder   System folder : Extensions : Modem scripts.
  4. Restart your Macintosh.

If you want the GSM-Ready to be used for all your dial-up connections, click on the GSM-Ready 56K icon or go to:
the Apple menu : Control Panels : Modem.

Use the following settings:
Connect via: GSM-Ready 56K
Modem: OPTION GSM-Ready 56K_en
