OPTION TO OUTSOURCE MANUFACTURING
SERVICES TO JABIL CIRCUIT

LEUVEN, BELGIUM – Option (NasdaqEurope: OPIN) and
Jabil Circuit (NYSE: JBL) today announced that they have
entered into a manufacturing agreement for the product
lines being developed by Option.
Jabil Circuit is a world-class manufacturer and a global
leader in the electronic manufacturing services industry,
offering a complete product lifecycle solution from prototyping
to volume board manufacturing.
The agreement will allow Option to significantly improve
its current working capital situation and reduce overall
costs by leveraging Jabil’s supply chain solutions
and material procurement leverage. This newly formed partnership
will provide Option the opportunity to redeploy various
resources and in doing so further strengthen its core
R&D competence.
Commenting on the agreement, Bart Goedseels, VP, Operations
at Option said: “ We have selected Jabil because
it has recognized expertise in the communications equipment
industry, especially in supply chain scalability, shorter
lead times, quality and cost advantages”. He continued:
“It will reduce Option’s financial exposure
significantly at the time where the Company is coming
out with a new generation of multiple products (GPRS)
in volume”.
Jabil’s Vice President, European Business Development,
Roddy MacPhee said: “Option is a recognized leader
of wireless products using advanced technology. Jabil
is investing in advanced technology manufacturing competencies
