Problems on Windows VISTA
Windows Vista Service Packs and Hotfixes to be installed

When using an Option product on a host with Windows Vista running, several problems can occur that are caused by Vista.
These problems can be fixed by installing the latest Vista Service Packx and Hotfixes available.
The following problems are known when using an Option product on a host with Windows Vista running :
Known problem 1: Bad throughput
The throughput performance is worse than on Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
In order to fix this problem, install hotfix KB940646 – included in SP1.
Known problem 2: not working after standby
It might happen that the product does not Resume from Standy or Hibernate or does not work properly after Resume.
In order to fix this problem, install hotfixes KB941858, KB948278, KB929762, KB947382 and USB Rollup KB941600 (includes fixes KB925528, KB935783, KB929734, KB930570, KB928631, KB928631 (also follow the post-installation instructions), ….) – all included in SP1. Install fixes KB949201, KB946988, KB948278 – all not included in SP1, to be included in SP2
Known problem 3: product disappears after 30 minutes
It might happen that the product disappears from Device Manager after 30 minutes or more and therefore the product is not accessible anymore.
In order to fix this problem, install hotfix KB930568 – included in SP1.
Known problem 4: drop in USB transmission rate
USB devices that are connected along with an Option product to the same USB Host Controller might suffer from a drop in USB transmission rate.
In order to fix this problem, install hotfix KB954052 – not included in SP1, to be included in SP2.
Next to these known problems, several other unknown problems could exist. Therefore Option strongly recommends to always install all latest Service Packs and Hotfixes available.
