Developed specifically for consumer electronics devices and broadband M2M applications, the GTM501 is a radical evolution of the embedded module.

Like its partner the GTM501L, it’s the smallest module in the world – delivered in an LGA package. It’s also multimode allowing high speed data access over 3G networks but backward compatible with 2G networks. It comes with 3GPP Type III Advanced Receiver Technology on three UMTS bands – for increased reliability in weak signal areas.

In contrast to the GTM501L, the GTM501 only requires a single power input and loads the firmware from its own internal programmable memory.

The GTM501 targets:
- Consumer devices and ultra-mobile PCs where the characteristics of the module allow appealing designs.
- Broadband M2M applications where its sturdy characteristics allow integration in the most aggressive environments.
